Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The Prelicense Bachelors Program (BS in nursing) prepares students for professional licensure as a Registered Nurse, and to pursue graduate education. Students apply for admission to the nursing Program during the last semester of completing their prerequisite courses. The nursing courses are completed in five semesters and include on campus lectures, seminars, clinical simulation with the highest level of technology, and community clinical classes. Our dynamic Program is dedicated to being recognized as a leading center for nursing education in the Northwest.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The Brigham Young University College of Nursing, fully approved by the Utah State Board of Nursing, and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, offers a baccalaureate program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. All students completing the Bachelor of Science program are eligible to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX-RN) necessary to become a registered nurse. The baccalaureate nursing curriculum is designed for the full-time student. Students carry as many as 16 credits most semesters. The six semesters of nursing courses include up to 12 hours of clinical experience each week in addition to course work. Because of the rigors of this study plan, students should not expect to be employed more than 10-12 hours a week during their program.

Master of Science in Nursing
The program is approved by the Utah State Board of Nursing, and accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The College of Nursing offers a generic Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Program that leads to the Master of Science (M.S.) degree. A post-masters FNP certificate program is also available.

Associate Degree Nursing
The Associate Degree Nursing Program, being an integral unit of the College of Southern Idaho, educates graduates from diverse populations who: demonstrate knowledge and caring through the nursing process to respond to the holistic needs of individuals in a variety of settings, and interacts professionally with patients, families, and coworkers within the community. The graduate promotes optimum health in a cost-effective manner, as part of a multidisciplinary workforce, and recognizes that learning is a lifelong endeavor.

LPN
Applications are due by October 15 or February 15 at 5:00pm of each year. If you would like to turn in your application in person, please do so by October 15 or February 15 at 5:00pm year. We will also accept applications by mail that are postmarked by October 15 or February 15. CSI is accredited by the Northwest Association for Colleges. The nursing program is approved by the Idaho Board of Nursing and the Idaho State Board of Professional-Technical Education. Upon satisfactory completion of the Practical Nursing program, the graduate is eligible to write the NCLEX-PN. Upon passing this exam, the graduate will be licensed to practice nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Idaho and will be eligible to make application for licensure in other states.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
The Idaho State University School of Nursing Traditional Nursing undergraduate degree is well-suited to students with no prior nursing experience who seek their first degree in nursing. This program is five semesters in length and admits 70 students every spring semester. Classes are taught primarily from the Pocatello campus through three formats, online, interactive telecommunication, and face to face. Clinical experiences are offered in the simulation lab and at a variety of off-campus settings, including community hospitals, community health facilities, service agencies, and schools.

Accelerated BSN
The Idaho State University-Meridian Accelerated Nursing undergraduate degree is offered to individuals who have a bachelor's degree in another discipline and wish to make a career change. This program is four semesters in length and admits 30 students every spring semester. Classes are taught on the Meridian campus through three formats, online interactive telecommunication, and face to face. Clinical experiences are offered in the simulation lab and at a variety of off- campus settings, including community hospitals, community health facilities, service agencies, and schools.

LPN/RN-BSN
The Idaho State University School of Nursing BS Completion Nursing Program undergraduate degree is offered to individuals who have their Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. Although the path to their baccalaureate degree is different, the program is designed to promote articulation and remove barriers to educational mobility of RNs and LPNs in Idaho. Classes are taught primarily from the Pocatello campus through three formats, online, interactive telecommunication, and face to face. Clinical experiences are offered in the simulation lab and at a variety of off-campus settings, including community hospitals, community health facilities, service agencies, and schools.

Thank you for your interest in the RN to BSN track at LCSC. The BSN program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the Idaho Board of Nursing. To accommodate working professionals, we offer flexible scheduling through our online course delivery. There are two clinical courses which you should be able to complete at an agency in your local area.

Established in 2003, the Practical Nursing program is approved by the Idaho Board of Nursing. The program is the first and only in the state of Idaho from which students graduate with an Associate of Applied Science degree (A.A.S.).

Associate Degree Nursing
The mission of the nursing program is to provide the opportunity for eligible individuals to acquire the education necessary for entry into the profession of nursing as a registered nurse. In collaboration with the healthcare community, the program strives to provide competent, caring registered nurses who are committed to lifelong learning. The curriculum includes general education courses in the arts and sciences and nursing courses, which provide nursing theory in the classroom and clinical experiences in health care agencies. Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN). Passing the examination qualifies the individual to apply for licensure as a registered nurse in any state. The program prepares the graduate for employment in entry level positions in a variety of health care settings and areas of nursing practice. The program is designed as a transfer degree and will satisfy core requirements at Idaho public colleges and universities which offer RN to BSN programs. The Associate Degree Nursing Program is approved by the Idaho Board of Nursing and is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing
